Courtesy Pay Overdraft Protection
Cover your transactions—even when your balance is low.
Courtesy Pay is an overdraft service that helps your transactions go through when you don’t have enough money in your account. Instead of your debit card being declined or a payment being returned, Courtesy Pay may cover the transaction for you.
That means fewer awkward moments at checkout, fewer interruptions to your automatic payments, and more peace of mind when life doesn’t go exactly as planned.
What Courtesy Pay Covers
With Courtesy Pay, eligible transactions may still be approved, including:
- Everyday debit card purchases, with your consent
- Checks and bill payments
- Automatic or recurring payments
A $19 fee may apply each time an overdraft is paid.
Important to Know
Courtesy Pay is a discretionary service, which means:
- Not all transactions are guaranteed to be covered
- Eligibility requirements and limits apply
- Opting in allows us to consider covering your debit card transactions, but it does not guarantee approval
The Fastest Way to Manage Courtesy Pay
The easiest way to opt in or out of Courtesy Pay is through Online Banking. It’s quick, secure, and updates immediately with no waiting or follow-up required.
Here’s how:
- Log in to Online Banking
- Click the three dots in the top right corner
- Select Courtesy Pay in the left menu
- Follow the prompts and accept the terms
Alternate Option: Submit a Request
If you’re unable to access Online Banking, you can submit a Courtesy Pay request online.
Please note:
- Requests are processed manually and may take additional time
- Submitting a request does not guarantee eligibility or a Courtesy Pay limit
- If you’ve already opted in, submitting again will not change your status
