Important Dates & Information

Week of October 14th and 21st: You should receive your Pathways debit card this week. Please keep an eye out for it!

October 30: Last day that Bill Pay payments on the SMART bill pay system will be processed. Remote Check Deposit using the mobile app will be disabled at midnight.

October 31: The SMART online and mobile banking system will shut down at 5:00 pm.

November 1: SMART Federal Credit Union located at 3454 North High Street, will be closed to facilitate the merger.

November 2: You can log into online banking and start using your Pathways debit card right away. For your convenience, the Pathways call center will be open from 9:00 am - noon. Pathways Bill Pay System is available. Please start adding your payees and scheduling your payments.

November 4: SMART Federal Credit Union Branch Location located at 3454 North High Street, reopens at 8:30 am for all your banking needs. You can also visit one of our other conveniently located Pathways branches for your banking needs.

November 8: Your SMART ATM/Debit card will be deactivated at 8:00 am, and you will no longer be able to use that card.

Welcome Packet

Welcome packets were mailed to members beginning the week of October 7th. If you did not receive one or if you have misplaced your copy, you can view a copy of it by clicking the button below. This packet contains crucial information about your account and the merger process.

New Account Information

Your SMART Regular Savings account has been converted into a Pathways Regular Savings account.

As part of this transition, your account number has been updated to align with our system. You can find this number on the membership card included in this mailing.

Your Account Number

Your new account number will now start with the number 9, followed by enough zeros to reach a six-digit format.

For instance, if your previous account number was 123, your new account number will be 900123.

Your account number might also be referred to as your "Member Number."

Pathways Online Banking

Get familiar with Pathways Online Banking:

Enroll in Online Banking: Enrollment will be available starting November 2, 2024.

How Do I Enroll in the Pathways Online Banking Platform?

You will be able to enroll in Online Banking on November 2, 2024. Visit our homepage and click on “First Time User” in the Online Banking Access near the middle of the homepage. Follow the prompts for the initial setup. 

Once you have enrolled in online banking, you will have access our full suite of online services! 

You will be able to enroll in Bill Pay only if you open a Pathways Checking Account. 

Bill Pay

As a SMART Federal Credit Union Bill Pay System user, we have some very important information to provide you. As a result of the upcoming merger with Pathways Financial Credit Union, we are informing you that the SMART FCU Bill Pay System will be shut down at 5 PM on October 30, 2024. Here is what this means for you:

All bills scheduled to be paid on or before October 30, 2024 will be paid as normal. No action is required on your part for any of these bills or payments. If you have payments scheduled for October 31st through November 8th, please log into the SMART FCU Bill Pay System and reschedule them to be paid on or before October 30th to ensure they arrive prior to their due date. After 5 PM on October 30, 2024, the SMART FCU Bill Pay System will no longer be available.

For any bills and payments scheduled to be paid after November 8th, please log into the SMART FCU Bill Pay System, and note the payments that will need to be rescheduled in the Pathways Bill Payment System. You will have access to this system beginning on November 2, 2024. Please note that enrollment in the Pathways Bill Payment System takes place through Pathways’ online banking service and is available free of charge. It is also important to note that any payments that you have set up in the SMART FCU Bill Payment System following the merger date will not be processed.

Unfortunately, there is no automatic enrollment in the Pathways Bill Payment System. Please enroll as detailed in the previous paragraph. Full enrollment instructions for Pathways online banking are included in the Welcome To Pathways Guide that you should have received prior to receiving this letter.

While there is no automatic conversion process available to import your bills into the Pathways Bill Payment System, we have enclosed a list of any payees that you paid in the SMART FCU Bill Payment System during the past 13 months. As a token of our appreciation for the work you will be doing in moving your bill payees to your new Pathways Bill Payment System, we will be placing a deposit of $25.00 into your regular share savings account during the first week of November.
